Information Use:
The Community Design Collaborative is
a 501(c) 3 nonprofit Corporation that connects communities
with design professionals. To achieve our goals we collect
information from users of the Web Site who wish to apply for
Client Services and volunteer positions. We collect this information
through use of online Applications (“Application”)
designed for that purpose. We use the information we collect
to evaluate and act upon requests for services and to evaluate
potential volunteers and to disseminate information about
future events and activities of the Community Design Collaborative.
Occasionally, The Community Design Collaborative
will sponsor events or programs with other organizations with
similar or complementary interests or goals. We may share
e-mail addresses obtained from users of the Web Site for distributing
information about these activities. Also, from time to time,
the Community Design Collaborative may
share its address lists with other non-profit organizations
for membership drives, fund-raising efforts, and other purposes
related to non-profit activities.
A “cookie” is a piece of data stored on the user’s
computer tied to information about the user obtained during
a visit to the Web Site. We do not collect
cookies from users of the Web Site.
Like most standard Web Site servers we use log files to collect
aggregate information. This includes internet protocol (IP)
addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP),
referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and
number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track
user’s movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic
information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not
linked to personally identifiable information.
Communications from Us
If you supply us with your postal address information online,
it will be used for purposes of the Application and to provide
you with information about future events and activities of
the Community Design Collaborative.
If our information practices change at some time in the future we will post the policy changes to our Web Site to notify you of these changes and to provide you with the ability to opt out of these new uses. If you are concerned about how your information is used, you should check back at our Web Site periodically.
Sharing
Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may
need to disclose personal information when required by law
wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary
to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order
or legal process served on our Web Site.
As explained above, we may also share address lists with other non-profit organizations in connection with co-sponsored events or programs, membership drives, fundraising, and other purposes related to non-profit activities.

All of our users’ information is restricted in our offices.
Only employees who need the information to perform a specific
job are granted access to personally identifiable information.
Furthermore, ALL employees are kept up-to-date on our security
and privacy practices. Any time new policies are added, our
employees are notified and/or reminded about the importance
we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure that our
users’ information is protected.
